Montefalco Rosso doc - older vintages

The selection we intend to offer for Montefalco Rosso doc includes the vintages 2020 and 2019.

The 2020 vintage was characterized by a dry and not particularly harsh winter. Spring had frequent and abundant rains. Summer was warm but without temperature extremes and with some rain. Phenological phases were normal and veraison was regular. The second half of September was dry and cool, which caused a slight delay in the ripening of the later varieties. Grapes were perfectly healthy and ripening was optimal.

Instead, the 2019 vintage was characterized by a mild and dry winter and a spring with below-average temperatures and frequent rainfall. The months of June, July, and August were marked by warm and dry weather, without heat spikes. The end of summer and the beginning of autumn were dry with good temperature variations between day and night, allowing for the production of healthy clusters rich in aromatic precursors. Harvest time was medium-late.
